Dave Green, Johnny Lowe & Alec

For it’s inaugural show Supplement presents a new video installation by Dave Green. The installation is the result of Green’s collaboration with the ventriloquist Johnny Lowe. The installation investigates and questions the perceived honesty of documentary as it explores the relationship between Green as documentarian and Lowe as subject. Green uses the notion of ventriloquism to address artistic practice and the moral ambiguity of an artist’s authority when engaging with their subjects.

Supplement is a series of 6 solo exhibitions each with an accompanying editioned work that will act in dialogue with the show. The space is dedicated to extending the level of discourse surrounding contemporary artistic practice; proposing a critical engagement with contemporary art making though a series of exhibitions, editions, screenings and performances.
