CLUB CALIGULA

Stefania Batoeva
With Ilja Karilampi, Leslie Kulesh, Isaac Lythgoe
April 3rd - May 30th
Open by appointment throughout May.

In CLUB CALIGULA Stefania Batoeva has modified the gallery space; white vinyl dance floor, chrome bar stools, white PVC window. Within this environment she has presented four new club paintings. Batoeva has invited three artists to collaborate and contribute to the exhibition: Ilja Karilampi has produced a dubplate mix from his Downtown Ilja radio show on Berlin Community Radio, along with vinyl stickers in collaboration with Batoeva. The purple stickers of lyrics, tags, logos, and rules appear in various areas of the space. Leslie Kulesh has wrapped an existing pillar with the padded, digitally printed, electro magnetic resistant fabric used in TAG. Temporary Autonomous Girl, her limited edition collection of 'technomadic' women’s wear. Isaac Lythgoe presents, here he is a serious dog, a democratic dog, but he doesn’t think he’ll spend a lot of time at the party today.
